Christian Wik

Introduction

Christian Wik has a long career with Roschier Attorneys until June 2023, where he began his practice dealing with M&A transactions and various private and public processes.

With Finland’s accession to the EU, the focus of his practice shifted to EU and competition law and he built a large practice group in this field both in Finland and Sweden.

During the last 25 years he has handled large cartel investigation and procedures as well as important assessments of the conduct of dominant companies both in the Nordic countries and Brussels.

In particular, he has worked extensively with competition law issues relating to all kind of transactions and handled numerous merger control notifications and investigations, including many conditionally approved transactions.

During the last years, he has also handled FDI notifications and procedures in Finland.

Christian has also worked on several large international compliance investigations, in which legal risks of companies have been examined, decreased and managed in close cooperation with the management and Board of the companies.

In addition, he has throughout his career made and negotiated various agreements, such as Shareholders’, Distribution and Agency Agreements, mainly relating to the competition law issues of the agreements.
